Reflections
Constantly experimenting with ways to broaden my techniques and skills as a portrait photographer on both location and studio shoots.
With the images above, I experimented with mirrors and how even though they are an exact reflection of what we see, they can tell a completely different story.
Wilderness Explorer
Capturing explorations into the wilderness no matter what the weather. Just pass the camera, sneakers and a brightly coloured rain coat and I'm prepared for any rainy day adventure.
Portraits
For my portraiture project I photographed people posing however they felt comfortable from pulling a serious, neutral face to pulling a silly face I saw it all. Using vibrantly coloured backgrounds to emphasise the colour in everyday life. I then viewed all of my images and began to digitally draw on them through Adobe Photoshop and edit them within Adobe Lightroom, giving each photograph a new dimension and feel to them.
From drawing dragons, to butterfly wings, I have transformed my portraits into innovative and creative pieces of photography, something that is different and isn’t always done. Combining the ideas of photography and drawing to enhance my portraits and give them a friendly feel to them. Taking my portraits to the extreme, to the border between drawing/animation and photography. Testing my photography, editing and ability to think outside of the box and create something new and unique.
